When I try to launch anything from my desktop, Netscape for example I get an error "Sorry - KDesktop, Couldnt launch netscape" this is the same if I try and run anything, even the documentation files? Please help me, thank-you.

Check your path, and make sure that they are right. I believe the path is /home/<username>/.bash_profile.

It only started happening after I tried to configure a cable connection (lan) and I have also played about with my web proxies, not sure if this is relevent. I am at MCSE level with MS stuff but linux throws me, please help all you can, I appreciate it.

I cant even run the konsole, when I click it I get "Couldnt launch konsole %i %m -caption "%c"
