Hello,

My soundcard Creative Labs AWE64 ISA doesn't work under linux redhat 7.3, i think it has a conflict with the USB. I disabled the USB support, then it works fine but I want to use my usb devices.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem? The USB device is on IRQ 5, when i disable it the soundcard uses IRQ 7...

Thx,
Ron

Does your ISA soundcard have jumpers or is it a PnP ISA card?

If jumpers, then try changing the irq and i/o to whatever is available on your system.

cat /proc/ioports
cat /proc/interrupts

will tell you what is currently being used. Of course do this with usb enabled and the soundcard removed.

If PnP or jumperless, then you should have a dos configuration utility on the soundcards driver disk that you can use to disable PnP or change the resources the soundcard uses.

If you don't have the configuration utility, then try the Creative Lab site.
