pretty good book. has into into php and mysql and then gets more detailed. shows you how to create forums, content management systems, web based mail, etc with example scripts. it's helped me a lot. you can try the manual at php.net also.
i think there is a php for newbies book also that just came out, that may be a better first reading...:D
