I recently purchased RH 7.0 Deluxe. I presently have RH 6.1 running. I attempted a simple *upgrade* installation and ran into the following problem. First attempt I booted up to the install CD #1. Everything was fine until *hdc* came up. There was a slight pause, then the following message:

hdc: lost host interrupt

So I attempted to boot to the floppy that came with RH. Exact same results. I have installed 6.1 twice with no problems, and sure could use some help installing 7.0.

I certainly appreciate all replies.

Regards,

Dick

Well, I discovered the problem. My computer has a Zip drive. When the computer is shut down the Zip disk automatically pops out. The installation of 7.0 didn't recognize the Zip Drive without the disk being fully inserted. The rest of the installation was flawless, and so far everything is running smoothly. Doing an *upgrade* installation saved all my prior configs. Thought I would pass this on to others with Zip Drives who run into the same issue.
