linux cd payer not working right

hi,

my cd player is not working right. i have rhl 7.3 and it justs plays the song for about 2 seconds then stops. its not the cd because ive tried several..any help?

Why do you keep posting this same question in multiple forums when we have already mentioned about crossposting?

All I can think of is what I suggested in the other 2 threads you posted.

Also check your system logs or cdplayer log if it has one.

We cannot help unless we know what is causing the problem.

I've had this problem a little while back. --if it is where you can move the time slider down and it will play 2 seconds from another part of the song. I'm pretty sure that all I had to do was run sndconfig and I tried out different settings for my soundcard: where it shows vertical lists that have about 5 numbers, I just tried different combos and then it worked.
