The only suggestion I have is that you rename the home button to forums. because that is basically what it is. As it stands now you think you are going back to the front page with the news but it takes you to the forums. Not to mention that you don't have a forums button.
Just a bit confusing if you ask me.

That was a large peice of my rant (in the rants section of course)
----
This new design is by far the least intuitive that I've seen.
When I first visited the site, it took me quite a while just to recognize that "Home" meant "Forums". I ended up clicking on "Hot Topics" or "Latest posts" from the home page to get to the forums, because I couldn't see another way to them.
For all I knew, "Home" was the homepage. Now, why would I want to go to the page that I'm already at?
----
Enough complaining though, I second the motion to have the name of the home image be renamed to Forums, something a little more explicit.
Looks like that's been taken care of, the 'home' button does lead to the forum. My point would be, have a 'forum' button / link aside from the 'home' button. Otherwise, visitors at the frontpage have no identifiable way to enter the forum other than clicking on the 'latest topics' or other threads shown. Take a look, load up the frontpage and you'll see what I mean.
I've just realized that member dunbar on this thread (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54075) mentions the same thing, all apologies for redundancy. ;)
