Forum search takes waaaaaayyy to long

When I search for things in the forum, it can take up to 10mins to find something. People keep saying, have you searched the forum? Well, the search takes way to long that I can't really be bothered. :D

I am on a 56kb modem, but 10mins?

FYI.

It could be the browser. Searching works fine for me using Netscape 4.76 but doesn't work at all using Konqueror.

I have the same problems with IE5 in Windoz and using Netscape 4.76 in Linux.

Just takes forever...

I think it's just because of the massive ammounts of stuff it has to search through. It searches the title and body of every post. I'm guessing that just takes a loooong time, especially if the server is buisy.

what you need to do is search each forum seperately for better results.

as the page keeps refreshing, updating how many results it's found there should be an option to just see what's it found so far... once up over 50 results I'd like to just see what it's found so far rather than wait 5-10 minutes longer when it has 250 or so... is that an option? Shouldn't be that hard depending on what software you're using to search.
