Sensei, I'm not sure if this is a UBB bug, an internet.com bug or a an aol bug, but when I'm trying to check out the boards, Netscape will hang on connecting to "images.internet.com" (the status bar sits at "connecting to images.inernet.com, waiting for reply" and I have to exit netscape .... kill the process, and then re-start it.

For the record I'm using win95, aol and connecting through to a standalone install of netscape (internet explorer won't work on this machine, I don't know what I did  but ie won't work on this machine).

I didn't notice this before the newest version of UBB, and it doesn't happen when I use the computer at work. It seems to happen with annoying regularity now. I've had to re-start netscape twice so far.

THIS SH*T just started happening to me too an hour ago!

I was surfing AND posting fine at LNO until about an hour ago.

Now EVERY time I click ANYWHERE on LNO (or Linuxtoday.com for that matter) Netscape just loads saying "34K read" or "100% of 21K (at xx K/sec)" and stays there, with the "K/sec" rate just dropping and dropping forever...

I always have to press "Esc" now to view the page.

Here's the thing: Both at LNO and Linuxtoday the banners on top and bottom don't show up.
I just see an "Image here" icon (not the broken one either).

<EDIT> I'm running stock Slack7.1 & Netscape 4.76 on E 0.16.4 and X 3.3.6...but all this shouldn't matter at all. An hour ago everything was fine. And all OTHER sites still load fine too!

Those of us with slow connections just add a entry in /etc/hosts that points to a local http server that will give a consistient 404 error... :)
