What's going on guys? I posted a message today in the Software Forum and it never showed up. Now I look on the main page of the Forums and it says that I am member # 0 and I last posted on January 1920. It also says that I registered: A Long Time Ago! What up with that? Here is the link: http://www.linuxnewbie.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=004987

It's a UBB bug. I know about it; I've dealt with it on other UBBs.

It happens when fields get shifted when writting the post into the database.

Namely, time got shifted into the subject, username got shifted into the time, etc etc. When writting the post in the database, everything got shifted one field to the left, probably because some field was missing.

It doesn't happen nearly as often as it used to, with earlier UBBs. Used to, there were ways to cause it on purpose, and you could often crash the entire UBB in the process, or corrupt a few forums -- tee hee. That's been fixed, though.
