why not wait until next week, so that we can see if your old account is able to be restored to you

i personally think that a lower member # and meaningful posting is more noteworthy than just a high post count :)

you have said that you visit many different boards, even before sensei left, right?

i am not saying that LNO will ever be the same without sensei, that would be foolish, i am just trying to do what sensei asked/posted, which was to keep LNO going , with the mission that he started it with, which is to help newbie's learn linux

as far as i know, from his posts here and some posts elsewhere and through some other means, he wants us to keep LNO a good place for newbie's to come and learn about linux.

if this changes at some time in the future, i will be one of the first to re-evaluate my online forums visiting habits

at this time, i am asking you to bear with the slowness of this process and give us (HAL's) a chance to do as sensei has asked, to keep LNO going in the same spirit as when sensei was here.
it will never be the same, but if no one is here to remember the way it was, then that is even sadder :(

Agreed.

A padded post count is exactly like a padded bra. Looks great, but once you reach your hand in you realize that there's no substance to the form.

I heard they've discovered a way to put padding on the inside now, using bags of saline. Sounds gross to me, but whatever.

I've heard something about that.

I've also heard guys say that there's no way in the world that they'd touch those once they are put inside, but they'd be happy driving a Corvette.
