Actually, I was testing Galeon(/me likes) and put in bsl28(new) instead of bleg26(old), when I logged in here. I usually use one of the two for just about everything and get confussed every now and again.

The "no topic" threads (traditionally started by 11000) are the bane of the board (or, at least, me). They invariably grow beyond control and get locked by a moderator, or, if left unchecked (as the one that ate one of my nicks did), grow to massive size, one to over 1200 posts, and crash the entire board.

Now, for Blarg. Well, Blarg is me. It happened in another off-topic thread. I don't think that one was called "no topic", and now that I think of it, IIRC, it was entitled "Blarg!". It started with a single word post ("Blarg!"), by TheLinuxDuck, if memory serves (or maybe it was EWO). A vast conversation ensued, in which every other word had "blarg" spliced into it. Now, this was around the time my very first nick (Bradmont) was killed. I emailed sensei about getting it fixed, and mentioned this in the blarg thread. Somebody mentioned something saying to Sensei that he should change my nick to "Blargmont". So, I went in to my account settings (I believe this was Bradmont2), changed my nick to Blargmont, and posted a reply to that post, something to the effect of "eek!". Well, the nickname has stuck, some of the more long-time users still call me blarg.

actually it sounds like a good idea to me, i'll see if i can whip myself into a frenzy, at my posting height, i think it was good for 30-40 posts per day :D

i used to never get emails about the board, but since HM has stopped responding to people and the email scripts have been down , i get a couple of emails a week from either old members that need their accounts fixed or new people that can't register, this sucks :(
if you figure 10x as many people don't bother to email about the problem , then you figure some of them only email X or strike or one of the mods that is never here

There was Mandeep's 11000 or bust thread that prolly got me 1/4 of my posts :p After it passed 20 pages it was about as stable as the Titanic right before it snaped it half.

Then of course.. the "orgies of destruction", where the LNOTSWKC would invade, and usually destroy 2-3 threads at the same time.

anyone who's NOT an official LNOTSWKC member (there were only 3) that can identify that acronym wins (if i can find it) a double chocolate doughnut. It's only ~20 months old too... practically fresh of the shelf :D

You're back!!! Patman is still gone, and so is Spacial. Don't think either of them is coming back. :( LNO didn't comepletely blow up, but we had a record breaking No-topic thread that blew up most of it. My Linux box, my precious P133, long suffered a heart attack. School takes up so much time away from repairs/tweaking.

You need to send a NULL pointer to the post_reply() function. This will allow you to post to a no_topic thread. post_reply() will then return a pointer to the no_topic thread, which should behoove you to assign it appropriately.
