Hello,

I have running on my win98 software which allows me to transfer mp3 files from the pc to my portable mp3 player (jaz piper).

Out of curiosity I was wondering of anyone has come across or knows of software which will allow me to do this under Linux.

Cheers for any help.

Darren

I don't know of any native software that does that. You might check freshmeat.net. How does it transfer data? Via Serial? or USB?

If it is serial, you may be able to use VMWare or some other Windows emulator just for running that program.

There must be some programs for this, as their is an option in the kernel configuration since 2.2.18 in the USB section for support of the Diamond Rio portable mp3 player... Don't know about other models, though-

Cheers for the help. I'll check out Freshmeat, I tried using Wine as suggested a while back but I did'nt make much of an effort, maybe its time to have another go.
