How do you change the colors in the ls command? my directories are this aweful neon green that I can't read. There is a --color= flag in the ls command but it jsut turns the colors on or off.

Also, I've looked into changing the PS1 prompt but I couldn't find a reference to colorizing just the directories.

i think this is controlled by a file called /etc/DIR_COLORS
