Hey guys.....Anyone here tried out FreeSwan VPN??? I'm looking to have remote access to my home net from work...I have Linux boxes on both nets and would like to be able to hit my machines at home, but I want a secure portal. I use Shiva VPN on the win boxes at work, in conjuntion with a secure ID card. Now I know without paying alot of money it won't be that secure at home, but I wnat it as secure as I can get it...any ideas.

We use FreeS/WAN here at work for our WAN. We've got 3 offices scattered around the U.S and Canada, plus a dozen "Road Warriors", and FreeS/WAN performs admirably. Easy to configure, stable and pretty secure. If you follow the documentation on the website, you shouldn't have a problem setting it up. We run it at all 3 locations on Linux boxes.
