ok so i THINK i have my system set up right now....when it boots up i get the LILO prompt, and i can either boot to windows or linux just fine. but the setup i went thur wasn't extremely clear....and i'm a little worried. i THINK all it did was put lilo on the mbr of my master (windows) drive and install linux on my second drive but i'm not sure...i'm worried that it maybe put linux on my master drive....in windows when i rebooted out of linux it didn't see my second hdd and i'm not sure why. the linux setup saw two drives....if the setup put linux on my windows drive....how would i know? would it make folders that i would be able to look into.....how can i find out? (hope i'm not being too paranoid but this is confusing)

no thats normal, windows cant not recognize linux partitions (ext2) so you wont be able to see or browse your other HD while in windows, linux on the other hand cam see FAT32 (windows) partitions so you can view your windows drive in linux

ok good, i feel better now. thanks. so the GUI (gnome) looks/acts a lot like windows so i don't think i'll have much trouble moving around...any recommendations on what a newbie should focus on learning first?
