I setting up dual boot in mandrake 7.2 difficult. I haven't installed it yet, but I want to make sure that my wife can still get into windows

It will set it all up for you during the installation.
So yes, it's easy. I think the installation will also let you choose which OS you want as the default, windoze or mandrake.
If not and mandrake is the default, that is VERY easy to change once the installation is complete.
