I'm running mandrake 7.1, but im having problems with automounting the cdrom and floppy. If i unselect automount and try do mount as root i get input/output errors and it does not mount when trying to automount.
Can anyone help me please.

Automount as with the mount command will only work if you have media in the drive at the time the drive is being added to the file system

If you disable supermount, do you still have the same problem?
