I have Manrdake and Windows 98 on the same machine, and I wanna uninstall Mandrake (re-install to be precise). And I don't have the slightest idea of how to do this.

You have a couple of options.... If you want to completely get rid of Mandrake to start over, you can go into your Partition prog (Partition Magic or whatever) from Windows and format the ext2 partition. Then pop your CD back in and boot from it and redo the installation process all over just like you did before. If you are using the install from Windows, just skip the boot from CD and reinstall step and install from Windows after formatting the partition. Otherwise, you can just skip the partition step altogether and just boot from CD and choose upgrade installation when the option appears. DiskDrake will partion for you and all will be okay.

And could someone please suggest a method of installation? I use Win98 and will continue to use it (only because family needs it).

When I installed it the first time, I had problems with the lnx4win setup, and decided to just do a regular install with a new partition on the same Hard Drive. But I have had NUMEROUS problems making Mandrake work properly, frustrating, cause Mandrake has such a good rep, I think it's impossible that it earned it by running the way it does on my computer right now.

Therefor, I re-install with lnx4win, hoping that it will work this time. But if anyone else were to have any suggestions, someone who knows Computers and Linux really well.

if you want to re-install linux, just do the whole Install process all over again
