OK, I think I should get this over with and post about before I kill my eyes. In netscape and konqueror the fonts of just about every website are very small. So is there a way to increase the font size against the will of the web designer? Are these pages optimized for windows, which has a bigger font size than linux?

And I tried going into KMOZILLA mode in Konqueror, which has a pretty decent font size, but you don't have any control over the browser in that mode.

You don't say what version of konqueror you're using, I'll guess it's the one with mandrake 8...

In konqueror->settings->configure konqueror->konqueror browser->appearance. Here you can change the overall font size and the fonts it chooses for the different encodings, I usually set a bunch of them to helvetica. I also set minimum font size to 12 and overall font size to extra large or whatever it calls it.
