Hey, today I installed RedHat 7.0 but not with its graphical installation... (I typed TEXT to install in text mode due to incompatibilities with my Voodoo 5 5500).
Unfortunately, when I startx into Gnome, everything is in <gulp> JAPANESE!!!
I did choose ENGLISH as my language because that was the first question it asked me in its TEXT mode installation. I installed RedHat 7.0 TWICE and both times I got japanese as the default language.
Does ANYBODY know how to change the language? Hopefully in the terminal because.. I can't read japanese in Gnome http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

You didn't perchance download the iso from redhat's web page did you? A friend of mine did that, and it ended up being the japaneese version.
Here's a better question, when you chose the install language, there should have been many different choices, but when I tried out the japaneese version there was only 2 (english and japanese).
Ended getting my copy from cheapbytes

Aw man, you are right... I think I did download the JAPANESE version (I dunno how I managed that hehe).
I'm gonna re-download the "respin" version of the ISO.
I think that was my problem.. thanks!

That's okay. Somehow I got a cdrom that had a copy of Star Office on it. I went through the install (in English, mind you) without a problem but, in the end, it was all in PORTUGESE! http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif What a burn! I laughed so hard my wife thought I was stoned (even though I haven't touched the stuff in 6 years!). Turns out the cdrom came from a Brazilian Linux Magazine!
Oh well, yanked it out. Still haven't bothered to download an English version yet. Doing just fine with abiword and kword. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif
