After Disconnecting from the internet kernel panics

Does anyone know what would cause this? I have disabled all internet related services trying to figure out what is causing this but it still does it. I disconnect from KPPP and about 3 minutes later the kernel will lock up on me and I have no clue why. does anyone have any ideas to why this is happening? thanks!

What distro are you using? After you think it "locks up" can you go to a different terminal with ctrl-alt-f2? Do you get any error messages? Is it only and always about 3 minutes after disconnecting from the net?

I am using RedHat 7.1 and No I can not go to anytihng everything freezes can't not get out of X or anything it will even freeze in console mode only to it says kernel panic I don't know what log to look in for the message or else I would post it cause I can't do anything after the message happens... and Yeah it's about 3 minutes.. It never used to do that and now it just started doing it. I haven't installed anything that would cause it to do that I don't think..

Just to add. It is fully crashing the kernel and locking up. the keyboard is completly dead. can't switch to any virtual console's or anything. Also Yes it happens every single time in about 3 minutes I have not timed it but it happens everytime at the same time.
