Xserver help

Does anyone know a sure fire way of getting the Xserver to start in Red Hat 7.1? Installation runs perfect but when it restarts it fails starting the Xserver. Everytime I try another video configuration I have to reinstall all over again. I have a Biostar motherboard with a built in Savage4 2D/3D video.

Have you tried using /usr/X11R6/bin/Xconfigurator to configure X? I got X running very smoothly using that.
