RedHat, Mandrake, Debian or Slackware??

I'm a newbie and did not like a latin america distro called Conectiva 6.0.
I am looking for the easiest one, but It has to be stable and support most of the appz.

I'm already downloading disk 1 of RedHat because I've found a lot of faqs in this site and others that were supporting RedHat as a default. Is this the most popular LINUX??

Hope you help me
thanks in advance
:)

I've found mandrake 8 is the easiest especially as a desktop, but red hat 7 isn't much more difficult.

either of those 2 would be a good choice.

NO USE MANDRAKE POR FAVOR! Drake is bug-heaven.
Go for SuSE if possible or Mad Hat!

well if you want a distro that supports spanish (or finnish for that matter) i would go with SuSE...but it will cost yah :(

for a newbie who wants a good desktop, go with Mandrake 8
