Vortex2 with RH 7??

Has anyone gotten this soundcard to work with RH 7? I downloaded the recommended driver from soundforge.com (or whatever the name was) and when I run "make install" I get numerous errors.(like a couple of pages) I have turned pnp os off in the bios and I am root when I try to "make install". I have the 8830 type of card so according to the instructions this is the correct command. Any ideas or success stories??

Did you download the source? Maybe you have to run `make` before you run `make install`?

According to the README included with the tar.gz. After unpacking I only had to run "make install". Others have had success with earlier versions of RH. I was just looking for someone who got it to work in RH 7.0 .
I see lots of messages like mine on other boards, but no answers just yet. Therefore I was seeking someone who had experienced success with the module install. Perhaps it is broken due to changes in the c compiler in Rh 7.0. I am merely a newbie so I will have to wait till I can find someone who got it to work in 7.0.

UPDATE: I was directed at another site to examine modversions.h after an unsuccessful install and it has the following entry:
"Modules should never usr kernel-headers system headers, but headers from an appropriate kernel-source." If I supply the Makefile, can someone decipher this for me so I can install this driver?
