Hi!!! I'm a real newbie & I've got some problem with my Linux after installing.
Everything was fine: I made the partitions, installed the system (Red Hat 7.0), but during the first booting I got the message "Unexpected incosistency ...". Then there was a recomendation (sth like make "mn fsck" myself). And after entering my root password I got the last message: (Repair filesystem)1#.
What should I do now??? I didn't manage to find the answer in HOW-TOs & different guides . Have any ideas??? PLEASE, HELP!

Try read what it recommend you to do carefully, I know this isn't much help but this is all I can do http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

What it wants you to do is to give the root password, and get logged in. Then, at that point, this:
e2fsck /dev/hdaX where X is the partition complained about.
It will run a lot of tests, and from time to time, ask you to allow repairs. Unless you know a LOT more than I do, accept ALL repairs. At the end, do this:
exit
This will force a reboot, and the FS will be marked "clean" at this time, and there will be no more errors complained about.
RARELY, this won't fix it. If that happens, you need help from someone else.
