I have sort of a problem. I really want to learn PHP, but I can't seem to find a good way to do it. I live in china (but don't read chinese well enough to get a chinese PHP book) and won't be in the states for another year or so, so the only way to get a book here would be to have it shipped, which I don't want to pay for (and my parents are even less likely to spring for it). I've looked at a lot of stuff on the web but it seems pretty basic and incomplete. I've also tried reading the manual some, but that gets me confused awfully fast. Any suggestions?

If you know any other programming languages, primarilly C/C++, Java, or perl, just go to www.php.net, (http://www.php.net,) and check out the online documentation. It's the best I've seen, and the docs for the PHP functions are cool, because they contain developer notes for quirks and errate on various functions/stuff.
