Okay, here's the deal. I have a Logitech Mouseman Wheel mouse. When I installed Slack I choose the ps/2 port because that's the port the mouse is connected to. When I configured X I choose the MouseMan protocol. I'm still getting erratic mouse behavior and I can't get it fixed. I'm new to Slack so I could use a little help! Thankyou so much. :D

p.s. I tried to search the forums but the BBS is messed up and I get funky errors when trying to visit certain topics.

reconfigure X and try using /dev/psaux instead of /dev/mouse

This has prolly nothing to do with Slack but X.
Try another protocol, IIRC "mouseman" is pretty old and not correct anymore.

Your device should be /dev/psaux, your protocol IMPS/2. The new MouseMan+ mice use the Intellimouse protocol (especially if you want the wheel to work)

normally when you try using "mouseman", doesnt it think of it as a serial mouse?
