I am downloading it I wondered if I can change the settings (example printers, internet etc) and if so would I have to do this every time I boot ? also can it access my cdrw and floppy drive so that I can save files .
Thanks everyone,
Elf Stone.
If you anchor DemoLinux, it will let you save your settings.
You can save stuff to a floppy, but I am unsure if there is any cd burning software included. Of course, if you anchor it (again with the anchor thing, I know I will explain it in a moment) you can add programs.
Anchoring demolinux creates a small swap file and another file that contains a linux filesystem on the HDD. It will speed up the performance a bit on low RAM machines and let you save things between boots.
Demolinux is really only good for either demoing or developement. I know some web pad devices make use of something similiar for a thin client. The user would never be able to overwrite system files because they are hard coded to the cd.

I run win 95 with no linuxpartitioned space will it be able to anchor to my hard drive ?
Yes, it will create two files in te root c:/ drive. Once you have booted logged in to the WM, just click on the Anchor icon. The next time you Boot, you will be able to save your settings and stuff.
