Sound problems in Tuxracer! [Archive]

Anyone have Tuxracer working, with sound in RH7.1 with a Creative SB Live? I installed from source but it complained about not having sdl when I did the configure. Since I have installed using up2date. Neither install has sound working. If I max the volume on both my mixer and stereo, I can barely hear some noise that might be music from the game. The options file appears to be set for sound and the volumes at reasonable levels. I installed all the SDL packages I could find on my distro disks, but still no sound. Anyone got any ideas?

I cannot answer your question because I have AWE 64 and sound works. But maybe you can answer mine. Is Tux all white on your machine when you play? I have same distro as you.
