Can I run UT w/o sound???

I run Debian 2.2 witha voodooII and everytime I try to start the game it seg faults on a Audio driver for one simple reason...

I don't have sound yet... my card is an ESS1868 and I've been tryin for over a week to get it going... I may just go buy a frickin new one... but...

Does anyone know how to disable audio in UT??

i'm using the 428install run to install the game.

can I edit my startup script er somethin to prevent UT from looking for the Audio.so ???

yes edit the Unrealtournament.ini file and find the line UseSound=True under the game engin section i think and change it to False

Did not work... this a week later...
Anyone know how to get an ISA soundcard to work in Linux... I mean you think it's totally easy... and yer just lookin to lend some advice bout it...

did you edit the UnrealTournament.ini file in your ~/.loki/ut/System/ dir? thats the one ut loads
