Hi all!
Does anybody know where to find glib2.2 for suse 7.0?
i couldnt find it on the suse's ftp server.

SuSE 7.0 is glibc2.1 based, so you won't find glibc 2.2 in the 7.0 directory. Download from 7.2.
You will have to upgrade your rpm to the new version in order to upgrade glibc.
Remember that after upgrading rpm you should run 'rpm --rebuilddb'. (Read the instructions on upgrading rpm).
Be careful while upgrading glibc. You may easly screw your system up. Don't --force or --nodeps anything.
Don't be tempted to run 'rpm -e glibc' (yes, I did it once :rolleyes :)

is it called rpm.rpm??? sounds a kind of strange.. ;-)

It will be called rpm-#.#.#-#.i386.rpm.

hmm ok i downloaded both.
first i tried to install rpm.rpm but it needet glibc. so i installed glibc, and no error message came. but when i logged off and my system crashed :(
so i reinstalled my whole system and i dont want glibc 2.2. anymore.. *g*
