I FINALLY got the GeForce2 working with Redhat 7.0 and Q3A works fine http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif But...

Q2 won't work in OpenGL mode. I can play in software mode, but not GL. Remember I have a GeForce2. Where are the GL drivers? What do I use/copy to somewhere?

Thanks in advance...

Also, Q2 needs to be run in X3.3.x, not X4 - something about the acceleration libraries (Glide) - this is for Voodoo cards tho, afaik.

First make sure there isnt a file/symlink to libGL.so in you quake2 dir. Create one in you q2 dir to your opengl driver then run quake2 as ./quake2 +set vid_ref glx +set gl_driver libGL.so
If you want it fullscreen, then change your desktop resolution to your q2 resolution :]

Ok, I have a question. I am able to get Quake 2 working fine with my TNT2 card. The only problem is that the mouse doesn't work right. I am able to click to fire, but I can't freelook. My mouse arrow from GNOME is visible in the game.

Typing +mlook or freelook 1 should sort that problem out.
You can get rid of that cursor in q2, look here (http://lists.on.openprojects.net/pipermail/glx-dev/1999-October/000994.html). :]
