TheGimp 10-15-2000, 08:29 PM Do you have an OpenGL compatible video card? A_Lawn_GNOME 10-15-2000, 08:47 PM I have a Nvidia TNT. I get this error too even after using their drivers, X4, or Mesa. No one has a clue except to tell me "it worked for me, I don't know why it's not." Grrrr SKILL 10-16-2000, 10:49 AM I have an Nvidia TNT2 vanta and quake 3 works fine in ****ty windows. TheGimp 10-17-2000, 06:06 PM If you are using the nvidia display driver, not nv, then copy libGL.so.1.0.5 (if you use the 0.95 drivers) from possibly /usr/lib or /usr/X11/lib directory to your quake3 dir. Rename or make a symbolic link to libGL.so run ./quake3 +seta r_gldriver libGL.so or something like /usr/local/games/quake3/libGL.so to make sure its using that opengl driver :] mak2k 10-26-2000, 10:21 PM did you install the NVIDIA drivers??? if not, well it's impossible to run quake 3! check this site to know how to install them.... http://www.evil3d.net/articles/linux_nv4/index.shtml I'm sure that's gonna help! justlinux.com
