so caldera finally pumped out a new version of its os. I suggest all you kiddies out there get a copy... caldera rocks! You still need to update it (2.4.6 kernel not included) but oh well... me likey a lot.

I agree too,Caldera was my first distro that got me into the whole linux scene.Thanks to it I feel more confidence at tackling problems with linux.

I've installed their new OpenLinux Workstation 3.1 on one of my work pc's and also on one at home. Very impressed. Like that Caldera update feature. Kinda reminds of of some other os.

Using Reiserfs on both (option during the install) and VMware installed with no problems.

Once-Ler... Was it you that was having the problem with power management (auto poweroff) in eDesktop 2.4? Works fine in Workstation 3.1.

yes it was me... i still don't know for sure if the apm stuff works now... boy i hope it does :o)
