When you run the program for the first time, if creates a directory (probably the name of the program) with configuration files in it. ~/.tuxracer/options is the tuxracer configuration file. There are options called set x_resolution and set y_resolution. They take resolution sizes as arguments. If you run tuxracer in full-screen mode, any unused window space will be black. You know, the graphics look ten times better in an 800 x 600 pixel resolution than the default 640 x 480. :) prurigro 06-10-2002, 09:14 PM I'm not exactly sure why that happens- I used to use Mandrake and it would change the resolutions to what the game wanted (yes, including tux racer)- but when I switched to redhat all full screen games keep my current resolution and just shrink the play size to what I ask for. I havn't looked into it because my videocard screws up every time I switch to anything other than 1024x768 anyway (thus I dont want it to switch resolutions), but I know there is some config file that is able to change it. Try checking to see if all the resolutions are available in the display config file. justlinux.com
