Q3A Requirements for Linux

Does Mandrake 7.2 have what it takes out of the box to run Quake3 Arena? I've got all the required hardware.

any distro that has the 2.2.x kernel and XFree86 3.3.2 or better (or something like that) will run Q3A. Mandrake 7.2 will do it. You might need to do a little tweaking to your XF86Config file and possibly install updated drivers for your 3D card, but that is about it. Mandrake 7.2 will run all the latest games.

Yup yup. Been toying with Q3 and FSAA under Mandrake 7.2 for a bit now. (Runs fine by the way.)
