Tribes was one of my favorite multiplayers in Windows. Very cool that Tribes2 will be out for Linux. Only thing that would be cooler, would be NWN being released now.

Is this game going to require a 3D card?

Never played the original tribes, so I didn't know. I do have a voodoo 3 2000, so I should be able to play it. I had that set up with mandrake 6.0, but since I install 7.0 I've decided that I refuse to go through the effort of using 3D until it's as easy to setup in windows. In windows, you just run some goofy little program and everything works. Here you gotta install a bunch of rpms, make sure you have the right mesa rpms, make sure all the libs are in the right spot, blah blah blah, then tell the game you're running where to look for it. What? To hell with that, I'll stick with "Heroes of M&M III", freeciv and SMAC, for now.

Hrm, getting my V3 to work in slack takes just a couple of extra files, and is super easy to setup.
