I was wondering if someone could do a test for me.
I was looking for the latest drivers for my Voodoo Banshee card.
I came across this site which had just what I wanted.: http://www.linuxvoodoo.org
I selected "Hardware/Drivers" then "Video" under cards then "Voodoo Banshee" under 3DFX-DRI.
When the page loads and I scroll to bottom of page my whole system locks up and have to re-boot.
It doesn't do this on any other page I visit.

I am running win98(as I haven't got RH7 graphics working yet) Explorer 5.5 with SP1.

Does anyone else get this problem or does anyone know where to get the same drivers.

Thanks in advance

many simple solutions. starting from the best
DONT USE IE, D/L netscape 4.7, or 6, or Opera 5.0 or mozilla .6, these (well not netscape) browsers are very nice, i never use IE or Netscape 4.7, i mostly use Opera. These browsers cant crash your system, at worst they will crash and your system will slow down from loss of usable ram.

2. D/L from linux console mode. I currently use Links and it can do almost everything as long as the drivers page doesn't use graphical things it should work fine.

Does running the above applications not require the graphics to be working correctly though. Which I am still (after 6 days) trying to get working?
Thanks for your reply.

While I am on the subject. I have been installing the updates day by day and then trying to get the X window working. At one point Xconfigurator came up with some numbers when probing my monitor. This almost worked. But when I run Xcon again, it skipped this and went to selecting generic monitors.

I managed to install the drivers from the above site but still don't clearly see the test page after Xconfigurator.

I am thinking it is a driver problem because I have been through every option in the generic monitors. And I have asked an expert on the net about my monitor and told it is a genric monitor?

I am thinking of scrapping RH7 and getting mandrake or something but as it took me about 10 days to download RH7 I am determined to get this working.

Help appreciated

your smoking crack, all of those suck compared to IE. you dont develop web-based apps, other wise you'd know what a pain in the *** all the others are.

the page doesnt lock up here, but im using Windows 2000.

also, get drake 7.2, its a bloated all to hell linux OS, but it'll probably (94% chance) work.
