I installed UT using the Loki 4.28 installer. I opted to use glide (for my V3). It installed fine, but it segfaults complaining about a lack of Glidedrv? I'm using Xfree 4.01 and the glide packages are installed.

go to loki's site. They have a lot of FAQ's that are actually pretty good. Check it out. They finally brought up the fact that I cant use my Game of the Year version yet! Aghhh!

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, they don't address this particular issue.

Did you install the Glide packages up on 3dfx's site? That looks to be the problem. If it isn't, then it looks like UT just can't find the files to go with it.

riiped from evil3d:
"Notice: As of patch version 428 from Loki, this HOWTO is no longer needed. For a fresh install download the install binary, mount your UT CD, and run the binary. When the pop-up window appears, make sure to select OpenGL. The 428 patch has an issue with OpenGL which can be fixed by downloading a new SDLGLDrv.so from Loki. For TNT & TNT2 based card owners, add UseTNT=1 to the SDLGLDrv.SDLGLRenderDevice section of your UnrealTournament.ini file. We have tested the fresh installation with a GeForce2 card under Mandrake 7.1, and all is functioning correctly.

We will however leave this HOWTO in place for posterity, and as a resource for any other needs."
