Launching Half-Life

I must be loosing my game skillz...

I can't launch Half-life correctly to play online. When I click on the 'Custom Game' to select Counter-Strike or TFC but they are not there. I am using WineX CVS and all the current patches for Half-Life/Counter-Strike.

Worst part is, all this was working a couple weeks ago! Here's the command I'm using to launch the game
/usr/local/bin/wine /home/mahdi/c/SIERRA/Half-Life/hl.exe -- hl.exe --console -w 1024

This brings everything up nicely but when I try to join an online game it talls me that I must load the mod first.

I have also tried the "-game cstrike" bit and all that does is load up the screens but still can't join...

Can you even play the single player game, or just create one of your own?

single player has me looking at the ceiling the whole time. I've been able to play online, but I know I had to use a special command to launch it...

That sounded bad...

I used a command string to launch it where I could goto Custom Game and load up cstrike and play with no problems (that's what I meant to say :))
