I'm really tempted to... I've been wanting to try Linux on Apple hardware. I picked up an Alpha to play with last year, but haven't done anything with it yet, though.

It's probably easier to run Linux on this machine than on an Alpha (because of BootX). I haven't tried an Alpha machine though.

Prob'ly. But, then, what's the point in doing easy? :)

It's a chance to play with something new. I've never had anything other than x86s. I picked it up on eBay last fall, and it's been sitting in my project (a.k.a. "junk") room since.

I'll still think longingly about the Mac, though.
