i've got a sparc, that i really have no use for. i could however use another x86 box around here.

Sparc Classic
50mhz miniSparc (sun4m)
32 megs ram
2 gig SCSI
10baseT
8bit audio
sun keyboard
sun optical mouse (and optical mousepad)
external 6x SCSI cdrom (no cable)
null modem cable (in case you can't use your monitor)

i've got an adapter to use a vga monitor with it, but your monitor has to support the right res and refresh rate. mine doesn't.

i just don't have much of a use for it. i could however use a machine to install a BSD on, all 3 of my other machines run linux, so i'm looking to learn some more here.

so, if anyone's interested in a trade, put some specs up here. has to be open source os happy hardware.

I have a few boxes lying around what are the spec's that you are looking for? Email for better information.

I'm interested. Do you want a 486, or more? Give us an idea what to shoot for.

defintly pentium or better.

but, i wouldn't need a mouse, keyboard, or cdrom drive... maybe not even a case. i'd sell for cash as well. in fact. i might even preffer it. but, trading i'll probably have more bites.

i don't even know what a sparc classic like this, with all the goodies goes for.

so, really, just let me know what you've got, and what it's worth to you. shipping on all this stuff is about $25. so keep that in mind.

nnng... tired.

You could put NetBSD or OpenBSD on that Sparc...

I have 2 Pentium motherboards with k5-133 chips. I could probly throw one in a case with some stuff for that. I'll have to check and make sure they work first, I wouldn't want to send you a bum board. I have modems (33.6) and some other stuff.

Damn, that's nice.. Too bad I'm broker than broke right now, I'd offer to trade my firewall for the thing but I have a feeling you'd want a little more than my lowly p133 with a miniscule 540mb hd... Oh well, the longer I wait to get a sun box, the cheaper it'll be, right? :)
