I'm looking for a PCI sound card for a system I'm building for my wife. I'm interested in trading some stuff such as P 200 CPUs, 16 MB EDO SIMMs, ISA NICs or some other I might have and you might want. I have tons of stuff so if you have a sound card (at least SB 16 PCI) and you are looking for something, just post it here. The card doesn't have to be Linux compatible but must be able to find drivers on the web or tell me the link to download drivers for the card and I will take it. Thanks.

No! NO! It doesn't have to be Creative. What I meant is that level/SB 16 PCI compartable or higher but I want PCI since I don't have open ISA slot.

I have a SB card up. It was in my system, but I 'upgraded' to an AWE64. Worked fine in Win98. I don't know Linux compatibility (since I use Linux in the server world, where admin's are deaf). Only problem I ran into was that it had some MIDI problem. I am pretty sure it was a Windows Driver error. I never cared. It played my MP3s fine. All I can find on the board is that it's a Creative Labs CT4810.

I have the exact same card. Either the driver is not installed correctly (device driver fault?) or that the card itself is bad. I got this one as new one though but could not be returned. It's an Creative Estronic (sp?).

It's for my GF's system so it doesn't matter. What do you want for it? I prefer trade in though. If the trade in, what would you need? I have all kinds of stuff laying around so just asked. There is too many to list.

Hmm... What would be an equally valued Pentium chip be? I have a few boards and systems around here that could be upgraded.

I have a P-75, a P-60 (both used) laying around and will give you both for it. If you want higher one, I can ask my friend's P-200 non-MMX chip (which is new BTW) for it. I also have a couple 16 MB EDO SIMMs sticks laying around too. So I'm not sure what your MBs limit are and I will see what I can come up with.

Whatever you do, don't use Yamaha DS-XG with Linux. It's pain in the ***..
Creative ensoniq -- pretty happy card, even in linux. I think I ordered one in the past for $24 shipped, usually can find it retail for $30.. Might be worth checking pricewatch.. Unless ofcourse, you make a deal with someone here. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/wink.gif Anyone wanna trade a Ghz tbird for a 486 mobo/cpu? (Uh, I've got the 486 mobo/cpu, I want the tbird.)
