I just need something cheap that I can use to print out my source code and documentation. It would be nice if I could still get ink for it as well http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Well, I have an HP 310 Deskjet that works great, and I'm know you can still get ink cartridges (including the colour ones) at any Staples, Office Depot, etc. The one I have has the desk stand and paper feeder (25 sheets, I think).

$30 bucks and it's yours, including shipping (i'll send via UPS, they are so damn convient since they hooked up with Office Depot stores).

HOWEVER, I insist on money up front, as I have not done well being a nice guy to LNO members on hardware in the past (been stuck so far for price and shipping in the past), and won't do that again.

My email is in my profile, let me know if you're interested (hey, note I spelled "you're" correctly!).

Cheers, Michael

What if I paid you $15.01 up front (should be enough to cover shipping via UPS) and the rest later?

Sounds good! Call me a softy, but tell me the check's in the mail, and I'll ship it.

I likely can't get to Office Depot (where my UPS account is) until Sunday (have to be out of town Saturday).

I still have manuals, and there's a 2/3rds full black cartridge in it (plus power supply and parallel cable, of course). I know it's supported in Linux (HP is my fav company for support), so you can get drivers (Mandrake includes drivers for sure, I'm sure other distro's do too).

Glad if someone can use it (I have two other printers, and once HP provides drivers specific to the 952C I'll be in heaven, well, once I get a supported scanner that is).

Oh, and when you e-mail me your address, be sure to include a phone number - UPS will insist on that.
