Have an old Pentium 100 and the fan went bad. No one around here has an old Socket7 fan. Just the new fans for Celeron's/K6-2's and they are going for $20! Anyone have one they can part with for under that price, with shipping (USPS is fine, I can wait)? Thanks,

i am using mine right now, but if no one else has one, then for $4.25 this may be reasonable, although with shipping i guess it would be close to $10 ( http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/frown.gif )

Hehe... ya..thx for the info. That might be the best deal I can find. I live in CA, so I'll also have to pay tax on it... Anyone want to buy a new fan and sell me their old one?? http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Well, I'm replacing a chrome orb, but I don't think you'd really want that (if it would even fit..)

I'll wait, FoBoT, thanks. I'm not in a hurry...

You're replacing a Chrome Orb? I just might have a processor that would greatly appreciate a new heatsink....

It might be as much as two weeks before I get the new heatsink, I'll let ya know how it performs and see about unloading the orb..

i got my order from compgeeks today
i didn't order a complete fan/heatsink
i want to try to go "fanless" like the compaq's
so i ordered just a heatsink
it is BIG, like the compaq's so i think it will be sufficient on my IBM 6x86L PR166+ (133Mhz)

i will run it a couple days and if everything is ok, i will email you about my old fan/heatsink

Thanks. I got one already (for $2). But I'd still like a spare.

Let me know how things work out.
