we have UBB URL tags, disable whatever damn part of the scripts change anything that looks like a web location into a link. if a user wants a link in their post, they can construct it with the UBB tabs. it's BLOODY IRRITATING when, even between CODE tags, a web address is translated into a link.

i think that the UBB code is simply so that one can embed a URL with a little more funk (http://www.icebox.com) than your regular h t t p blahblahblah

i don't really see the problem with the regular links becoming active.
