Even after reading all the help I still just dont get this program... I think a NHF on it would be a cool thing.

Yes, a Dselect NHF would be good, but it would probably end up being as confusing as all of the other online documentation. Writing an easy to understand NHF about an impossible to use program would be something else...

What's wrong with Dselect?

I use Dselect.

The Debian developers use Dselect.

God would use Dselect if He had a computer.

dselect's excellent, although it does have a few problems. It just doesn't work the way Windows/Mac/non-Unix people expect things to work. As far as I can tell, all the key bindings are standard for Unix utilities. One just has to be sure to read the help.
