i don't get it. i understand loyalty to sensei and all, as this is his site, and that it *seems* like he has been robbed of it, but why would we all go away?
It still works doesn't it, and we have not much reason too think that it won't?

I am in favor of a backup plan, or a mailing list, but why move now? Unless things go down hill with UBB or internet.com comes in and changes everything...it is still the same site that sensei made.

Are there other motives that I/we are not seeing? It seems like a select few that are starting these threads to leave.

Ahhh well...enough from me.

For the record:

LinuxOrbit.com would like to co-exist with the LNO community. We have no interest in encouraging anyone to leave LNO.

Despite Sensei being let go, the LNO community is alive and well. If LinuxOrbit.com can help newbies, average Linux users and experienced ones along with LNO, then so be it. LNO, so long as Internut.com hosts it will always be one of the premier newbie sites.

LinuxOrbit.com has no interest in fracturing this community. We want to help it grow along with our own.

Thanks for listening.

I owe a lot to the LNO, so i wont be leaving this board voluntary, I also post at the board linuxnewbieboard, Its not a matter of loyalty to either Sensei or the LNO, Its my Choice

If there are many like yourself, then no wonder people think that the LNO is going to go bottom up.

I only hope that Internet.com disregard all the negative stuff being posted here.

Just my $0.02 worth
Cheers

linuts.....
don't get me wrong....I am not saying that noone should post at any other linux bb except for this one. My point is....we shouldn't abandond ship just because the boat rocks, and I don't understand why everyone should be an "Ex-LNOer"

Anyway, if anyone reads this. Just take note that www.linuxnewbieboard.org (http://www.linuxnewbieboard.org) has changed to www.linuxjunior.org (http://www.linuxjunior.org)

It's a long story that I should not elaborate... especially here.

Shhh... they are listening!! :p

No it doesn't. They better fix my user account soon! Yes, I'm angry.

I'll still post here because the fact is that this is still LNO. It's just not the same when Sensei left. What about the news on the front page? NHF's? If someone wants to write an NHF here, will it be published?

There are another discussion boards, too. like
www.linuxquestions.org (http://www.linuxquestions.org)
and www.debianhelp.org (http://www.debianhelp.org)

you are at the top of my list of accounts to try and recover, i don't know if it will be possible or not, if you recall , sensei wasn't always able to restore accounts after ubb blowups, we will do our best :)
