Why UBB?

The Chosen One isn't sure if this has been mentioned before but why use UBB when you can use something like:
http://www.phpbb.com/

Which is GPLed (and a lot nicer than UBB). It would be nice to see you guys support the free software movement by actually running free software. Anyway just a thought.

Well, we're sort of "in transition" between people who run these forums right now. So, big changes may be coming, or they may not. But they aren't happening anytime soon :)
