Isn't there a #linuxnewbie IRC channel on EFnet? I think that's as close as we've got.

I see people on #linuxsphere on openprojects.net sometimes - but I think it would be cool to have a live chat - so if your in a jam and need some help someone will be there to help, so you dont have to wait long..

The official #linuxnewbie irc channel moved from Efnet long ago to irc.openprojects.net.

#lno or #Linuxnewbie.org

#linuxnewbie is occupied by linuxnewbie.com people. bastiges :)

Is anyone ever IN the #lno-#linuxnewbie.org channels? I've been in there a few times, and it's always a ghost town.

I used to try to keep myself in #lno and #linuxnewbie.org, I'm practically always in #linuxsphere .. but, as it's empty I usually don't bother anymore. It's empty cuz nobody is ever there, and nobody is ever there cuz it's empty. Perhaps a scheduled event, like a 'virtual bootfest' planned for a specific time on a specific day (with front page advertising ofcourse..) could get some more people interested in it.
